I was born with EB I am 69 years old my mother said when I was born she could only hold me at the back of my head and the heels of my feet my skin was covered with blisters. I never knew what I had until I was 35years old until I saw the documentary The Boy Whose Skin Fell Off I really thought I was the only one with the disease.

I went through life being ostracized especially growing up especially when people didn't know what was going on. My mother took me from Doctor to Doctor which they didn't have a clue only gave me different creams and pills what they thought would help my condition. Today I only suffer with my feet where I have wounds that will not heal.

I take each day with stride and thank the Lord for each day that he has given me because when I was 35 the Dr told me people didn't live that long with my condition so let the Dr tell it I should have been dead but I am thankful for the journey it taught me to be humble and grateful for my life and the skin I am in.
