Hi my name is Hayley winder. I'm 24 years old with RDEB. I'm from Pennsylvania. I am a single mother to a 4 year old boy and I wouldn't have it any other way.

In 2019 I graduated high school where I was a part of the Air Force JROTC program. In November of 2019 I attended cosmetology school and got my freelance certification in makeup. And in January of 2020 I found out I was pregnant with my son. My pregnancy went smoothly despite having EB. And his delivery went great. I had him via c-section in August of 2020. Over the last 4 years we have been living with my parents and I am raising him on my own. It definitely comes with a bunch of challenges. But I have learned to adapt. Living with EB is difficult. Especially now as I have gotten older. My skin has progressively gotten worse and I was also diagnosed with another condition called POTS. It makes doing daily things difficult but I try and do the best I can. I am very thankful to have many friends all over the states who also have EB, who I can connect with and share my struggles with.
